Fotomat, 2015

The digital age of photography has changed the landscape of the traditional snapshot.  Gone are the days of pulling up to a photo hut in your local parking lot to pick up prints that you have been anticipating for at least a week.  Now we have the luxury of being provided with instant gratification through smart phones and digital cameras.  The ability to view what is captured and instantly decide whether to keep it or not is now common practice. The shoe box full of prints that didn’t quite make the cut no longer exists.  To all those images that were cast aside, who didn’t make the photo album, who lay in a box, we salute you.
